Looking to grow a couple GPs this year for the first time. Located in oregon near the willamette valley. Am curious how particular these plants are on their growing zone. Is it even worth thinking about for the first year, or a waste of time? I'm not going all out with soil testing and amending. I will just be adding adding compost and manure along with fertilizing throughout the season. I am also looking into a local club. And thought, suggestions or potential seed sources appreciated(eventually I'll post in the seed exchange if needed).
Thanks

Youre definately in a good area. Look up pgvg. It helps to have a mentor to speed up the learning curve. As suggested have fun first year. Some people get hooked on the hobby some dont.
