Subject: Measuring a pumpkin properly

I should know this by now but after seing the following picture http://aggc.org/aggc_main.asp I now wonder if when measuring the pumpkin, if the tape should be in contact with the pumpkin all the way around, even where it dips in here and there. Last year I pulled the tape around but did not allow for the oddity in its shape.

Hi dandy, no, you do not tape down in the ribs. Pull the tape tight across the ridges and do not allow it to to h down into the "valleys" of the ribs.

On youtube there is a video from a few years ago at Niagara where they give a demonstration of how to measure,,,It's worth looking at
