45 day old pumpkin with a shoulder split--fairly minor, but not out of the woods yet. it is not on a rib, not into the stem and less than half inch deep-about four inches long. should i do anything but keep it dry, apply fungicide, and cross my fingers?

sulfer powder works great if in a tricky area use a small brush to apply.

I had a small scratch from a racoon , It was not taken seriously & guess what ? Rot !! take care of it ! 25% bleach spray , or daconal !
