I have my first pumpkin set and at day 12 it's measuring a 28" cc. so far I have only watered it and foilar fed with fish/seaweed. How often do you fertilize, and how much, and what's best to feed it ? My plant is around 500 square foot. Thanks for any advice.

You could get a 1000 different answers to this question. In general for starters you can try this till you get more info:
you could soil drench & Foliar feed once a week, ideally spacing them out every 3 or 4 days. to foliar feed you can go 1oz/gal with the fish and seaweed. a 500 sq ft plant foliar would take about 1.33 - 2 gallons of product applied foliar. only apply foliar sprays in the evening.
you can soil drench at a rate of 1oz/gal for fish and seaweed, use about 6 gallons of product soaked in about a 5 foot diameter around the stump but staying about a foot away from the stump. do not pour on the stump.
If you want to go all out you can soil drench the whole patch at a rate of 1oz/gal by using a ortho dial N spray or something similar.
I would recommend you check out Hollands Giants or Extreme Pumpkins websites they both have fert programs listed on the sites, that way you can get a idea of what kind of products are being used to feed these monsters.
Good luck!!!
