I just heard its time for the 13 year cicadas. So of course my first thought was...do they have any affect on pumpkin vines? Silly question maybe but I still wanna know! lol

There is a pic of them on my diary Tammy. The article I read about them says they feed on oak tree roots during their larvel stage. The females after they breed will lay their eggs in oak tree limbs. When the eggs hatch they will fall to the ground and start the process all over again. Mike

Tammy, the 13 year cicada cycle seems to hit different areas at different times!!! Two years back I went to visit Prince VanSanBaggus, and the constant noise of the Cicadas was Mind Numbing!!!!! The Prince, did not have any worries about his pkn patch during this process!!! Wear ear plugs, and Grow em BIG!!! Peace, Wayne
