First of all.....let me thank all the helpful people on BP that have taken the time to reply to all the questions on the New Growers Forum. It's great how the experienced growers are willing to "Spread The Knowledge"
For me...I was able to reach 1,000 my rookie year and still growing. My Holland 1505 is at day 55 with 363OTT, 162"CC, 1,002LBS. It is still averaging 16LBS per day.
At the start of the season my goal was 500LBS....then 1,000LBS.....now 1,100LBS is my goal. If I am lucky enough to keep this thing going and reach 1,100LBS there is an outside chance that I can break the Indiana state record of 1,273LBS......truely unbelievable.
Thanks again to all the growers that are willing to share their knowledge so the new growers can experience this awesome HOBBY. And thanks to all that are willing to share their top quality seeds.

Karl, I have been following your diary and I hafe to say that you have done a great job this year! Even if it stops growing at around 1150 it could still go 15-20% heavy. When a pumpkin does steady gains like that all season long they usually go heavy.
Best of luck and keep her growing!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but, I'm not aware of any other 1000+ lb pumpkins having been grown in Indiana south of I-70. So even if you come up short of the state record you still have that. First 1000 lber in southern Indiana.
