OK, I have the beginnings of PM. I used a sulfer compound "Bonide". Three days later, I have a die-off of old leaves. PM is still there, and spreading. Cucs and melons are browning too. Am I killing my baby? I bought Spectracide today and I will spray tomorrow barring bad feedback.... This is 5 days since the sulfer dose (which mostly has washed away.... Please help as this is my first ever biggun'.

One thing for sure is Long Island is the PM capital of the world. I have been applying eagle 20 every week and I also rotate daconil and a sulfur product. So far I have not had any PM. If anyone thinks that the eagle 20 will help your plant after the outbreak, I would be glad to mail you some. Its only a half teaspoon per week in a gal. of water.
I don't think anything will "cure" PM. All of these chemicals are preventive only. However, if any of the heavy hitters chime in and say the eagle will help, my offer stands.

I've had alot of trouble in past years with PM too. I think it's the foggy damp climate I live in. This year I'm only growing field pumpkins but read on the Growers Dairies about some people using Neem Oil to help control both insects and diseases. We usually don't have products here that you can buy like the ones most people use for growing AG's, but I did find a spray Neem Oil at the local Canadian Tire, and I've been using it on the older leaves this year in the efforts to control/prevent the PM from happening. So far the results are fairly good. (but we've had a great summer too rain/fog wise.)

Yup, I'm planning on ordering some products from there for next year. Gotta save some cash first.
