I never realized how much dew forms on the leaves until this year. I have been up very early every day and could not help to notice that the leaves are soaked with water every morning. No wonder that I have had such a problem with PM in the past.
Does everyone have this, or is it just a Long Island thing?

Same here. The last few mornings I have been up pollinating just before sunrise. It has looked like it rained during the night but I know it hasn't. Leaves are dripping and the soil is wet.

Oh yeah, I have lots of mushrooms growing in my soil under the plants cause of the dew. I keep it clean too, so I just pour on the fungicide.

that heavy dew is the reason why we dont water the plants early a.m. until such time as the dew has dried off the leaves. if not you will spread powdery mildew spores around from leaf to leaf.
