Subject: terminating secondaries off main vine?

i have a pumpkin at 122 ott.i need to move the main away from the pkn.do i remove the secondaries that are past the pumpkins?i think it will make it easier to move.will it do any damage to the main vine if i do this?

Be carefule when shifting the pumpkin. I broke my biggest one off this year like a rookie. Another grower advised me later to move the vine and not the pumpkin.
How far down is it set? Some people cut their main at the pumpkin if set far enough down. Even though I'm new myself, you'd be fine cutting secondaries to make room.
