One of my plants started yesterday, and the other today. They have not layed down yet. They both turned direction a bit and both to the right side. Do they start to turn a bit like this before laying down? Was thinking the first one was turning torward the sun until the second plant also started a right hand twist as well, away from the sun.

Rich, general concensus is that they will normally grow opposite of the point of the first true leaf!!! Lot's of variables, can change this. Angle when planted, majority of sun in yer patch not leading plant to it. It really (usually) isn't a major mountain to overcome! Some type of guidance, is usually needed. I use bamboo skewers, bbq type... to train my vines to where I want them. Gently in the heat of the day, on top and underneath, in an X pattern to guide the plant to where you want it to grow!!! Hope this helps!! Peace, Wayne

If you have more or heavier leaves on one side it can pull the plant in that direction. Sometimes a leaf or a tendrill can act like a kick stand and cause the plant to not lay down properly. It is very likely you may need to prune a few things to make the plant go where you want it to. A lot of growers prune a lot of leaves from the stump area any way to get good air flow there. Good luck. Lee

They are not laying down well. Been a while. They look good and healthy but I don't know what's going on.
