Although most of the older "How to grow giant pumpkin" books are outdated, the info and history is very interesting. I think that The SNGPG has put out a CD and DVD that is second to none, The "How I grew the 1502" and the SNGPG 2009" videos, and in my opinion, Jim Beauchemin made a Video that I feel all New growers should see atleast once.

If you want inspiration rather than instruction, Try Backyard Giants by Susan Warren.
It`s a really good read !

RF, this site itself is prbly yer best source of info!!! Look thru growers diaries from '09, and earlier, look thru message boards...active, and earlier, try site search for specific info!!! On main page there are links to informative articles!!! I think you have already found the source of the best info!!! Peace, Wayne
