~ TOP RATED NOOB MISTAKES ~
Starting too soon - figure 2 weeks start to patch in a 1 gallon pot.
1 week in a peat pot.
Too many plants - figure 700 sq ft per plant plus a walking path.
Spraying too soon - nothing kills a seedling faster than a noob.
Fertilizer in the starter mix - DON'T - Miracle grow seed starter kills
Unvented plastic huts - use a wife, sibling, slave or hired hand.
Consider the Ohio Valley Hooch made with row cover fabric - not plastic.
Manure & plastic huts kill - we can always see the pattern where ammonia aged the leaves. Many noobs spray fungicides which makes matters worse.
Never spray anything when the sun is shining - EVER.
Keep them inside - get them into real sunlight with wind right away. Leggy is for runway models, not pumpkins. Life outside will harden them off and make them tough or dead! You decide.
