Didnt they just advise (finally) N95 masks and then a couple weeks later it was no masks?
And then the mayor of New York said everyone can spread germs except toddlers... Toddlers must wear masks still while no one else does.
Toddlers are very germy... they are so incredibly germy I think they are like little tree saplings that want the mature trees to die so they have some space to grow. But aside from that, as far as covid goes, it makes no sense.
The whole pandemic would have been better dealt with by reducing people's comorbitities and focusing all resources on cruise ships and nursing homes and maybe providing free home delivery of groceries to seniors or other people actually at risk.
But hindsight is 2020. The ongoing lack of intelligence of the world organizations and governments is staggering. Big pharma clearly puts profits over people.
What a mess this was.

I still have to press buttons to checkout at the grocery store, which is like shaking hands with every person who went through that line that day. I dont feel like we made any real progress... I dont think we are any safer from germs than we were 5 years ago or 50 years ago.

I use my knuckles for pretty much everything, not just for dragging anymore! I mean they're right there and it has become habitual - probably from even before 'This Pandemic' - Try em', everyone, you' like 'em! eg

Lol. I just figure they could have done away with the club card thing for a few years. "Enter your phone number to save 50 cents! Catch a cold from the type pad in order to save 50 cents! Meanwhile we spend trillions to try to stop you from catching that same cold!" Seems kinda silly.

I'm not really a germaphobe I'm just offended by people who enjoy crying wolf far more than actually shooting the wolf. I dont feel like our wolf hunting hunting skills have improved much. Are we going to learn anything and deal with the next disease in a more calm and effective and less costly manner? Or are we just going to do Covid 2.0 exactly the same way we did Covid 1.0.
Or, Heaven forbid, maybe we will do an even worse job against Covid 2.0...

It just ended. Im totally willing to wear a mask in a healthcare setting and there will be some such places that continue to require masks. But after all that ineffectual effort we deserve some kind of End-of-Covid-party and to get back to normal. I feel like the whole "following the science" thing was more like a kitten following a laser pointer:) They never quite grabbed it. Instead of normal, of course, we just get more bad news/problems... Cost of electricity is through the roof. I do like the zoom meetings though!
