Its a disaster. There's unnamed accusers. The standards of evidence are lower than at a criminal trial. They incentivize lying, both via fear and economic incentives.

Its communism at best. Salem witch trials at worst. I know there are lots of caring people in the world but this sub-constitutional, basically extrajudicial system of governance is quite a debacle.

If I may say so. Hurtful, invasive, rife with abuse. No lawyers are provided. No guardian ad litum for my kids.

The nearest thing to my current situation is the Salem witch trials.

The criminal justice system in the USA has some chance of delivering justice. But family courts... are they so poorly designed that you could just throw dice onto a roulette table and no one would notice the difference? My guess is they are unconstitutional.

How many fathers are falsely accused of abuse. Basic courtroom rights, like questioning the accuser, are denied.

Its the 6th amendment in the constitution.

"One of the enumerated rights in the 6th Amendment is the right to be confronted with the witnesses against the accused. This right is known as the Confrontation Clause. The confrontation clause guarantees criminal defendants the opportunity to face the prosecution's witnesses in the case against them and dispute the witnesses' testimony."

What a disaster! But why fix it... If WW3 gets any hotter then we'll all be returning to dust soon anyways.
