Gritty, do they plant them up your way?
We have a couple in our yard, don’t get as big here as up In the NE. Only the Short Leaf pine is native, Eastern commonly dies in Mo due to heat and drought. They are great climbing trees for kids if you don’t mind sticky hands.

No closest thing for me was I went to camp in Maine as a kid. My dads half of the family was New Englanders.
Some laid back learning instead of watching politics.

Most all the big ones are gone here. Amazing seeing some of the old pictures and old growth trees.
Have anybody ever eaten the hard sap right off the pine or spruce tree as gum? Have to look for really clean pieces for that.
