Which fertilizer you rely on and preferably used for giant tomatoes. Do you use Miracle-Gro or anything that can help or make the plants get large tomatoes.

I've heard that fish and seaweed are good. Compost tea, magnesium sulfate, miracle grow, and the WOW products might be helpful. Some people have advised (very dilute) calcium chloride for blossom end rot. But basically Engels nailed it. Chicken manure maybe. They are a bit sensitive to herbicide so make sure your compost is either totally clean, or extra well-composted.

Oh and porkchop would say all things in moderation that's certainly true for the chemical fertilizers. It's not gonna help to load the soil or leaves up heavily with salts. The calcium chloride is strictly meant as a foliar spray.. or perhaps just on the tomato itself. Ask the tomato board or do a search for it maybe it has been discussed or maybe someone will know. I'm just giving you some ideas I dont have all the info.

The only way you will know what fertilizers you need to add to your soil is to first get a soil test to tell what your nutrient content is. Then you can figure out what is needed. Otherwise you are just guessing. I prefer using organic fertilizers. You also need to know what the percentage level of organic matter is in the soil and your cation exchange content as well. If you are not up to doing that then you can rely on the recommendations that will come with your soil test results.
