            | baitman | Central Illinois | How often are you cleaning your drip filters? I use a 200 mesh and pump liquid molasses and liquid kelp once per week and water as needed , sometimes boron mag and cal.
Sometimes the filter plugs in less than a minute,I flushed the tank out 3 weeks ago, I clean them with a bottle brush and blow them out with air.

            | Big City Grower (Team coming out of retirement ) | JACKSON, WISCONSIN. ; ) | Is it a mesh screen or the disk style? I had a mesh screen and threw it out it clogged all the time so I went to a disk filter works much better I clean it every time I water with particles in it I have to clean it when it slows down water flow the disk just requires a shake and a quick rinse and clean again | 6/19/2017 10:56:27 AM |

            | Big City Grower (Team coming out of retirement ) | JACKSON, WISCONSIN. ; ) | At the bar patch I hooked up a back flow to discharge zone so I could flush with clean water and only stop for a minute worked good but now I don't grow at the bar so I'll have to make something similar to it | 6/19/2017 10:58:19 AM |

            | baitman | Central Illinois | its a screen, about 7 inches long with 4 sections around it with about 5 screens in each section, I'll have to look up the disk filters forget what they look like | 6/19/2017 1:12:40 PM |

            | So.Cal.Grower | Torrance, Ca. | I clean my filters a couple times a week for each zone to avoid this. I also strain anything that might have chunks or small pieces that would clog things up.
Yes, I'm filing and straining daily. lol

I've use those " fine " cone shaped paint strainers. I've found the paint strainer bags are just not fine enough to get everything.

            | Big City Grower (Team coming out of retirement ) | JACKSON, WISCONSIN. ; ) | What do you use to filer with ? I was thinking of a paint strainer as I have not hooked up fully my new system | 6/19/2017 10:20:53 PM |

            | So.Cal.Grower | Torrance, Ca. | The paint strainer bags still let small things through and they clog my stuff. I've found the cone style ( fine straining ) work great and stop most everything. All that extra gunk gets thrown in the veggie garden.:) | 6/19/2017 11:30:30 PM |

            | Peace, Wayne | Owensboro, Ky. | cone style strainers...like coffee filters? Peace, Wayne | 6/20/2017 12:02:18 AM |

            | So.Cal.Grower | Torrance, Ca. | Kind of Wayne but there're made for painting with solvents.
Any Sherwin Williams paint store carries them.

            | baitman | Central Illinois | I recleaned the tank, it looked like Humic acid was on the bottom but I don't think I used it this year.I haven't been straining the mixes first so that's been the problem. | 6/20/2017 8:28:45 AM |
