THE past 2 years I have been adding sugar beet meal to my garden. I lost fruit to virus,s both years. But, i seemore earth worms. Any comment to benifits or other. TKS JIM

Since nobody answered heres my 2 cents,i use beet pulp pellets and dried molasses both in my compost piles and in patch..i have lots of worms also but havent had any disease

I,m not sure. It appeared to be amoasic of som sort. I hauled everthing away and burnt my stakes and wind cloths. There were lots of cucumber beetles this year. I htink they had aconvention here. :>)

The mosaic virus will be spread by the cucumber beetles, Jim. It will likely be back unless you get control of the beetles so make sure you have something on hand and spray the minute you see one or even better, the day before, lol.And keep them under control all season. I have a question for Orv if you read this. Where did you get the dried molasses in Ontario?

Thank you Pumpkin Shepherd. I will work harder at getting rid of the cuc beetles. My sugar beet meal comes from a mill in Port Elgin. Perhaps they sell the dry meal. Jim.

Dried molasses can usually be bought at a feed store(kelp meal also ).

I bought it at feed store in Selby Ont. if i remember correctly it was around $22 for 50lbs
