Can anyone give me some information regarding what fertilizer injectors will work best with John Deere T-Tape? My main concerns are clogging and extreme fluctuations in dispersion ratios. I was interested in the EZ Flow setup but have read many drawbacks. Thanks to anyone that can give a little insight.

I use the MixRite injector purchased through Dripworks. I've owned it for eight years and had to put new seals in it one time, which were available through Dripworks. T-tape CAN be used more than one year, depending on your water's mineral content and what you put through it. One of the most critical things to do when using an injector with T-tape is ensure that water flows through all tapes and emitters before injecting your solution. If you begin injecting before full flow, you will likely get a big slug of solution to the first areas which begin emitting, creating an uneven distribution of what it is you are injecting. Also, allow plenty of water to flow through your T-tape after injection has concluded to get all or most of the nutrients out. I like using T-tape such as Toro Aquatraxx which creates turbulence within.

I use a cheap siphon mixer.
It all depends on your flow rate, pressure drop, ect. I don't get a continuous exact feed like you would with a mechanical injector, but I take that into account in how I fertilize and I really don't worry about it. Seems to work ok.

The EZ flow has a low flow in line ball valve bypass fitting that is perfect for our applications.

The EZ flow works perfect on a small patch. Put the proper fitting on and and gets the whole patch even. I did a bit of testing with it last year on under 700 sq ft should be dialed in just perfect for this year.

John could you explain how to adjust the ball valve to make it work right. Seems like I could never get it to empty out the product in the tank. It would mix but never seemed to use it all up.

On mine I would almost have to have the valve completely closed for the right amount to drain. It would drain fertilizer completely out in about a hour ( 90-120 gallons of water)

Although I haven't seen the EZ flow injector, I can tell you that you can adjust the siphon rate with the MixRite at the injector iself according to the amount of product you wish to apply in ratio with the amount of water you are applying.

I've read that is almost a must to purchase the ball valve along with the ez-flo system. Truck tech, which model did you choose? 8 years running is quite a bit of time with only doing a rebuild once. Certainly seems worth it.

Depends on your water rate. I have one hooked up to water from house and it runs fast so no valve needed. Water to pumpkin patch runs slow so valve is needed to force water into feeder

I have to use the ball valve when I'm running just one low flow sprinkler. You have to be careful because the fertilizer can be used up pretty fast if you get the adjustment wrong. For how little fertilizer I use, the ez flow and ball valve work great.

It's a replacement piece. The in flow and out flow tubes hooks directly to it

Can someone please go into greater detail on this ball valve, Maybe post a pic of it hooked up. Where exactly is this valve hooked up too and how does it work? Can I just use a regular ball valve or is this one have a special design? I have low water pressure at my patch and am having issues with my ez flow.
Thanks in advance.
