Alright no one has used purshade...anyone used Surround WP?

Both are made by the same company. Try ebay for Surround. Purshade is calcium carbonate. A product similar to Purshade is manufactured in North Carolina.

I've used Surround on fruit trees but not vegetables. Does a very nice job of protecting fruit from insect damage but I don't know how much it would do for AGs. Are you looking to use it for its shading effects?

Yeah I've been looking at shading options for the patch this year to keep the 'kins from gettin to hot. The Purshade claims look pretty attractive over using shade netting. I wonder how stable it would be on the leaf surface with all the different spraying/misting we do. And then the question arises...If Purshade is Calcium Carbonate, could we just use CalCarb on the tops of the leaves and reflect some of the suns rays that way?

I used CalCarb for the first time this year. 10 days over 100 degrees and the leaves weren't damaged
