I cant work out how this compares to other soil tests people have listed it seems to have been tested in a different manner if any body can help out with application rates I really need your help I can E-mail a copy direct from the Lab if it would make it easier

I just cant seem to work any of it out and our fertiliser rep for the farm dosnt have any idea about what is good for pumpkins

Send a copy of your test results to Andy at: farm@cjnet.net. He is making a study of tests and results after adjustments.

You will get answers here that may vary somewhat. You need a PH of 6.8 to 7.2. That will take six months or so to safely adjust with lime. I would make application in the fall and test again in the spring.

The way yours looks to me I would just add lots of manures in the fall. Add your lime and all the leaves you can work into the patch. Till this all in good and plant a cover crop of anual rye grass.

I think you have a pretty good patch to start with. 10% Organic Matter tells me your ballance should not be out of line unless there is something I am missing.

You need the book How to Grow World Class Giant Pummpkins. You will get opinions from which you must consider and make your own program. Reports here and in the book support your decision.

we are just going into the start of spring the only way I know it is the start we have 180ish cows calved and only 500 to go will send the test out later today Andy.
