I haven't been able to fond anything with potash(k) here either. Ace had some but ran out and can not get any more in this season. Home Depot doesn't have any. I also would like any ideas.

Oh Boy. Another shameless plug. If this keeps up, John & Ken may start charging me to post.

Straight potash is not commonly stocked by many fertilizer souces. Not much demand. Even our own chain of outlets makes the decision to stock based on local circumstances. But any of our stores that deals with golf course superintendents usually keeps at least the higher quality 0-0-50 "sulphate of potash" (K2SO4) on hand. Most growers seem to prefer the cheaper 0-0-62 Muriate of Potash (KCL) or "potassium chloride".

UPS charges on individual 50 lb bags will exceed the cost of the fertilizer for those with no other choice. So an $8.00 bag of stuff could end up being like $20.000 when all is said & done. I don't know. You may wish to try calling our customer service folks to see if we have Muriate of potash registered in your state. 1-800-321-5325 and ask for item # 001547 which is straight 0-0-62. Since we have several distribution hubs in the south the shipping should be reasonable. Ask anyway.

Another fine option that I know is usually registered is item # 016475 5-10-31 10% Iron. Very good finishing fertilizer. Less than $20 for 50 lbs even with all that iron. Very popular in the south.

Our website has a store locator on it. No other specific product info is there though.

You could try locally owned garden stores. In the Sacramento area Capital Nursery and Matsuda's carry sulphate of potash.
