Well there are about 20 days left untill the weigh off. I was wondering if there is some way I can begin pushing the pumpkin at this point. Growth was phenominal but seems to have slowed this past week and a half or so. We are getting plenty of rain now and I just gave the plant a good dose of seaweed, both foliar and root. Spread phosphate over 3 weeks ago as well. Is there some last ditch effort I can try to push this fruit a bit?

sulphate of potash, ie. potassium sulphate is soluable in water. Good for fruit growth and disease resistance. HD and Loews carry it (Espoma).

this is the time to pull gently into port, not full speed ahead. whatever you did a couple weeks ago? do half as much one more time, then put the juice away and cruise into port.
