I am curious if anybody else has had problems with aborts after using this?

Everyone seems to be having tons of aborts this year with the extra high temperatures.

I buried my vines with 1 part Azos and 9 parts pumpkin pro this year. 3-12 ounce bags of Azos and 20 pds. of pumpkin pro. I have 8 plants. 4 Pumpkins and 4 Squash. My plants were put outside on May 1st and grew to full size(30'x30')by July 1st. I started to pollinate on June 21st. I lost every Pumpkin until June 28Th. However, 3 out of the 4 Squash took early and are growing very rapidly. I had to dead head and cut back all growing tips in order to get a pumpkin to set. I still am unsure about 2 of the pumpkin plants as to whether they have a pumpkin set or not for sure because the pumpkins are under 10 days old. This is the worst year by far I have ever had with fruit aborting and the best year I have ever had on early plant size. Nothing changed in my strategy or regimen except for using the Azos. The stuff definitely works but I think there is a fine line when it comes to high nitrogen availability and setting fruit. Good luck everyboby!

thanks for the input guys, I used azos on 2 plants and have had all aborts the other 2 plants i didnt use it on seem to be ok with no aborts so far....so i was curious if maybe the azos had something to do with it.

Adam, I'll have to agree with newman on this, I've been using Azos weekly and I havent had any abort issues.
Normal pollination dates, between june 20-july 4th have been horrible all across the country due to the heat, those who pollinated a bit earlier seem to be having the most success.
I mean no disrespect, but as a first year grower, with limited soil prep and no soil test is I remember correctly, you are using most any product blind folded.
Just my opinion and no disrespect intended.

i understand what you are sayin tom, just kinda weird the two i used it on do nothing but abort , Maybe I have high nitrogen levels in the soil already not sure. Was just curious how others were doing with it. Thanks for all the input going to rip two plants out of the patch now

I've mixed Azos with pumpkin pro and applied when burying vines and have had zero aborts.

It did get hot earlier this year, I had some trouble getting my melons to set to start with. I don't know if this will help with pumpkins, but I placed frozen water bottles under the box when I pollinated my watermelons. Must have changed the temp just enough to get some sets. Seemed to work with the melons.
