Im pretty new at this so i could use some help with a fertilizing schedule. I worked in horse manure compost early on before planting along with 12-12-12 fertilizer. then a transplanting helping fert. Since then the only thing I've done is a fish emulsion foliar application every week and half to two weeks. My plants arent doing that bad but i think they could be doing better. What could i use to improve my plants? thanks

Punkinstein, look on our website www.extremepumpkinstore.com, on the left hand side under categories you will see a fertilizing program. This is just an example of what we do, you can get an idea of what other growers do. As a new grower, I would ditch the miracle grow type fertilizers and give the plants liquid fish and seaweed. You will need some type of fungicide and insecticide. If you have any questions, drop us an email via the contact us and i will be more than happy to go over a fertilizing program that may fit your needs, and no, you are not obligated to buy anything.
