my pumpkin nitrophos. I bought a bag of fertilizer thats high in potassium and phophorous as the pumpkin has slow groth and was wondering how much I should give it and how often.

I would follow the instructions on the package staying on the cautious side of things. P and K are not very soluble and can take years to wash from your soil if you have a build up of them. More is not better in this case. It may be difficult or impossible to make up for not having enough vines/leaves on the plant however you could easily ruin your garden for years to come by over doing it now. Good luck - Jim
