I bought a timer that has a misting cycle of 2 minutes on and 5 minutes off. I can program it to cycle for as long as I want it to according to the instructions. Any suggestions on this. I found another timer that stays on 5 seconds and cycles every 5 minutes.

I have mine set for 5 min on out of every 15 min. I only turn them on, on really hot, high UV days. They work very well at this setting. Your water must be very clean or you will plug the misters.

What timer and misters do you use? Also what kind of filter would you recommend. I've been looking at several different ones on-line and they all seem to come in the same range of micron filtering. Should I get one capable of the smallest micron?

I am also looking for the right kind of misters. I am wondering whether most growers use the kind of high pressure misters that require a pump to create the finer mist that will just cool the air rather than getting the plant dripping wet.
