How long does it take for greensand potassium to become available to the pumpkin plant? From what I read it sounds like it make take years. If I apply it now will it be available to the plant once the pumpkin starts growing?

if it took years no one would use it and im sure none would be manufactured either. i cant advise because i dont know what the present rate of potassium is in your soil at present. (i do know that once the pumpkin begins to put on large daily gains it will take a lot of potassium out of the soil. if my soil was really lacking i might be tempted to sprinkle a little in the trench when i vine bury (notice i said a little) to much and your pumpkin will blow up later around the second week in august id broadcast spred 15 to 20 pounds around each plant just a guess pap
