I was looking for my SNGPG news letter (not the recent one, but the one before that), but I was trying to find out in a artical that Ron wrote if Joe,Don, or the Mckie boys added there Bone meal (I think all three used 50 lbs) in their spring prep, or was it the fall prep? I think it was the spring prep, because I dont think Bone Meal lasts very long in the soil, but I could be wrong on this. According to my soil test I can use right around 50 lbs to my 3000sq ft and still be ok, but I dont want to over do it seeing how its 12-0-0

I thought bone meal was a slow release fertilizer? If it is it should last sometime.

I meant to add that bone meal over here in the UK is around 3.5 to 4 N and 18 to 20 P, 0 K it also has an effect of upping PH and does little in an alkaline soil

12-0-0 would be BLOOD meal, and it acts fast. Its primarily a Nitrogen source.
