I'm right in thinking that lime has cacium that is imediatly available to the pumpkin plant?

nope thats a rough calcium--and will not up take fast --foliar is best--------

Gypsum in the spring will help if it is needed according to your soil tests. It comes in granular form. I do use AgroK CAL solution as a foliar along with AgroK micronutrients, Alaska fish (smells bad) and seaweed (Neptunes Harvest)weekly most of the season to make sure the plant gets enoughnutrients.
