I did a soil test 6/19 it came back as follows. total cec 18meq/100g. cation saturation k-8.2% ca 70.4% mg 15.1% ph 6.7 p 556lb/acre pot 1220 lb./acre nitrate n 116 lbs/acre ca 6416lbs/acremg 710lbs/acre . I have been applying 1/wk fish sea weed. mircale grown 24-8-16 about every 2 wks. plan to switch to tomato fertilizer end of this week. Giving my test results does this seem like a good plan? All plants are healthy male flowers open few small females noted. Thank in advance for the advice. Tim

Tim, prbly should cut back on the MG until after pkn is set, too high N will cause pollination aborts. Peace, Wayne

I agree with Wayne but I'd stop using miracle grow until after pumpkin set. Scanning your test, you were low on N so I think your decision to use 24-X-X was on the money. pH is on the money. Sometimes Ca isn't fully available to the plant. So, maybe ammend Ca in the form of Gypsum might help but doesn't seem absolutely necessary seeing your Ca levels are good. Other than that, a fert to promote blooms might help? (ie. phosphorus and no N) Blessings! Greg
