I went to the farm supply store looking for molasses and all they have is Liquid Horse Supplement #820383. Is this what most of you guys are using, or is it the wrong stuff. It's ingredients are: Beet Molasses,Cane Molasses, condensed fermented corn extractives,Phosphoric acid, zinc Sukphate, Manganese sulphate, Copper sulfate,Vitamins A,D and E Choline, Folic acid, Calcium Chloride, Cobalt Sulphate and Biotin. Just wondering if this is the right stuff. Thanks

Best deals are at feed supply stores but you don't want the horse stuff that has other goodies in it that may or may not be good for the plants.
Plain ole black strap is the best, Safeway has it in the baking supply area if you can't find a larger supply.
I got 5 gallons at my local feed store and will last me a long time.....

Hey Glenn, do you know the shelf life of the stuff? I bought a few gallons of it last year from the local feed mill and didn't use it. Just curious.

Hey Alan
It should be fine. I'm using up my old stuff from last year & it seems okay. I'm just making a batch of tea with it now. It was stored in my basement over the winter.

Alan, like Shannon said, will last a good long time if sealed properly.
