I never see much said here about Miracle Grow. Do many of you use it and if so at what stages of plant/fruit growth?

Type 20-20-20 in the search box you'll get alot of results.
I think they have now changed the levels in the product, but the posts are still relevant to your question. I did a couple of lite apps of 20-20-20 Peters when I wasn't happy with the gains on a couple of fruit earlier.

Miracle-Gro is just a very common trade name that was recently acquired by Scott's.

Today Scott's seems to have reduced the number of products.

This year I only saw 20-20-20 & 16-32-16 but that's about it as far as Pumpkin growers might need.

That's too bad since there used to be a nice 10-52-?? "Bloom Buster" that I didn't see offered this year.

The Scott's/Miracle-Gro milling machines that service the Northeast aren't too good any more (everything wears out eventually) so the Phosphorus in their blends isn't completely dissolving. This may or may not affect other regions of the US.

No matter since there are many other suppliers that offer superior grades (lower salts & finer mills) if folks take the time to shop around.

Miller's line of soluble fertilizers is the finest available if you can find a distributor. Retain Garden centers won't have this line since it is only packaged for professional use in 25 & 40 lb bags.

once you get your soil built up well enough, there is no need for miracle grow, or any other water soluble fertilizer. you can just go with the fish and seaweed stuff.

Steve, HD still has bloom booster is still around here, pink lid I think. 10-52-10 I believe. I am a newbie and am using about 1/3 pound of 20-20-20 or Vigoro "general" every 3-4 days tring to crank up my last late entry. Seems to be working with no ill side effects yet. Have not located the good stuff yet but is on my list for next year....if needed.

I use no harsh manufactured chemicals in my soil. Most if not all of foliar is designed to be gentle organic support to the soil. My plant for the first time in four years has shown little or no late season pathegons.
