does anyone like to spread this stuff by hand like i do or am i stupid for doing so? i feel somehow that im wasting it by spreading it to areas that my plants are not even close to. my thinking is the rain would just wash it away in those areas?

Your vines will head right for it, and yeah i've slung out bye hand, but dont recomend it wear gloves, ive steared vines that way before, and i did one this year too, its neat to watch the vines turn, dont need alot of it though.
