Been researching about the Bio Endo Plus stuff....wondering out there is Big Pumpkin Land ......What are your experiences and is it worth the effort and price?

Yup, use it every year since watching Joel Hollands video from a couple of years ago.

Worth every penny for my patch.

I've used it for the last three years & my weights have increased from 593# in 2002 to 1011# in 2005. I know it's not all because of the mycorrhizal, but I'm sure it was a big help.

I did some googling and found this site and some very interesting articles and studies. This should really be over in the Pests and Diseases section, but I thought Id share it with you. I agree this could be the difference maker for grow'em BIG and keeping them healthy.

In Doreen's own words, "That purchase proved to be a turning point in my gardening life. Fungi saved my gardens when disease, bugs, and weather conspired to destroy everything I grew. They soon became the strongest weapon in my organic arsenal."

A couple of her specific observations:

"The inoculated (tomato) plants flowered and set fruit two weeks ahead of the control group. At the end of the season - late June in tropical south Texas - I was amazed at the difference in harvest totals. The inoculated 'Garden Peach' variety produced 103 fruits, whereas the control bore only 28. Even large-fruited 'Southern Night' had 74 tomatoes on the inoculated plant versus 14 on the control. The control plants were infested with early blight (Alternaria solanil), but the inoculated plants were disease-free."

Several of the commonly advised techniques, by the makers like: Greatly reducing the fertilizer more specifically the manufactured NPK's and the water is seldom discussed on this board.

Almost never discussed is the fact that innoculation is complete, for the year, for the whole plant the instant one spore and one root make contact. Adding more hurts nothing but is a complete waste. The makers are now adding "stuff" to suggest more usage. This only makes sense to a salesman.

I used it in all the plants I started for the gardens this year,,a marked improvement whenever tranfering to bigger pots and at planting,,,amazing root growth noted everytime.

Not so sure aboout the "one root, whole plant theory" I did use it at root junctures on the first few feet of all my mains, and of course as recommended in the planting hole. First year at AG's,,but plants are doing very well.

If it's all saleman talk,,"I'm sold" now using it on all perenial divisions that I do LOTS of here.

The plants I spent money on using "Endo" are more than twice the size of my other two back up plants.., but on the other hand the "Endo" plants are in the best sites....?

MY CORE Is good stuff, but beware there are alot out there , that would be no use to grower, but the salesman doent care. This is a good site, not mine ,but good.

Keep in mind; never dig or till once you have added the Endomycorrhizal Inncoculant to your patch.

Outside the patch???? Something else to consider with mycorrhizal is that it reaches 30+feet in every direction from the planting area (the Stump), in other words...what ever you apply to your grass and trees now makes it way to your AG plant...sounds far fetched doesn't it???

In using mycorrhizal,,,we have taken a normal 12" inch tap root and now have made it over 30'+ feet long in circumference..It is awesome!

Awesome isn't big enough word. Then that bio-mass hauls back, to the plant, just what the plant needs. Some say it has the ability, to avoid or bypass the bad stuff, by sending only good back, to the plant roots.

Since it is a fungi there are products less than desirable, to support the work, of Mycorrhiza. How to not use the cides that kill the fungi is a challenge many are trying to solve.
