What is a good way to disperse seaweed solution into the patch. I was wondering what type of dispenser is used. Is there a brand name systematic dispenser out there on the market? I would like to know if you can hook up something to a 1/2 garden hose that regulates the amount of fertilizer coming out as you water.

I use the Miracle Grow in-line dispenser but for really nice one check out svrichb's diary for this year!

5150, if you purchase a small submersible pump, you can mix your fertilizer in say a 30 gallon tub and then pump it out to your patch. I've done this for years, it works well. Pumpkinpiper

There is a syfone that you place between the spigot and 1/2 inch hose. The liquid seaweed in placed in a bucket and mixed with water. then a small hose from the syfone is placed in the bucket. When the hose is turned on it draws the solution from the bucket and mixes with the water at the proper proportion. Any Good garden store should have one. ( some bad spelled words, Sorry)

remember -if you use a syphon remember any hose downstream
will be contaminated with what ever you syphon.
in other words - don't drink out of your hose if you syphon!
applied to dogs and cats - etc...

I use E-Z Gro automatic fertilizer. It's an inline fertilizer that you can use either with a sprinkler system or a drip system. I used it last year and I was impressed with it. Certainly a lot easier than doing it my hand.

I've put Miracle grow, Peter's Plant food (20-20-20) and other water soluable fertilizers in it. Also have spread my fish/kelp solution without any problems. In general I used the largest setting to spray on the the fertilizers to get the stuff on in the quickest period of time because the fine misting really cools down my plants.
