In an great earlier thread started by pap, there was mention of the re-introduction of calcium nitrate to the fertilizer program to push growth in the later part of the growing season. The thread is at http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=3&p=130020
My question is, how do we re-introduce the calcium nitrate and what is the recommended application rate?
Brett, any additional advice?
Thanks/Glenn

glenn we did add three lbs calcium nitrate around a couple of our plants in mid june because the leaves indicated a nitrogen loss in a couple areas
this time of year however if you added anything you might want to use two to three lbs per plant of a high potash fertilizer (0-0-60) or follier feed and /or water under the canopy with 5-10-40 or 12-0-44 we also add some water soluable calcium and humic acid to the mix quite a few times earlier on during the seasons follier program
