We lost 9 out of the 11 plants we originally planted this year due the 14+ inches of rain in 2 weeks. One of the plants that survived is still green and looks good for what it has been through. But, it is not growing or putting females on. What should I put on the plant to get some females started. dude

with my experence, i have found that lots of rain will deplete nitrogen levels, plus i never get any females untill vines are at least 4 to 6 feet from begining root try mixing a couple of teaspoons of whisky with a quart of water and water it. you can even try a can of beer. beer will more than likley make the plant more bushy. i'm sure there is many that will disagree but some of these have worked for me

don't feel bad about losing all those plants, if they are atlantic giant. you said you have 900 acres and that's good for 3 plants tops if you're serious about it.
tough decision, though. If the plants arn't very big at all then hit them with the nitrogen but at the same time loading nitrogen on tends to delay the blossoms.

I would go with Ironite liquid. It is a low percentage ballanced foliar. Now add an ounce of vinegar per gallon of mix. Do this addition only one time. Save the booze for better use.
I would continue with fish, kelp and molasses once weekly.
Don't try to fire up that baby all at once. You would not ask a sick anything to step up to a full speed race while still off color due, to any illness.

To save a whole bunch, of bucks, consider using alfalfa meal if you feel you need a gentle nitrogen mid season boost. Hand sprinkle it, about ten pounds over a thousand square feet and gently rake it into the top half inch or so, of soil. Be carefull not, to hoe or rake it in deeply which would cut into the root system.
