What is the ratio of molasses to water. Is it used as a douche, foilage, or both? How often do you use molasses? Anything else you can add. ==== thanks John

Ditto: OLD MAN. Early soil prep two or three applications pre-planting. Weekly foliar with some run off to ground at the foliar rate. Fall ground application two times as you put it to rest and just before cover crop. Compost pile all left overs and a ground application monthly. Compost pile all other fish and kelp left overs and one for good luck now and again. If it heats up to hot add some browns like leaves, straw or shreaded newsprint. Keep it nice and damp all summer.

Hi all. I just asked the RI Growers questions about pros and cons of using molasses seeing I just bought a big jug. The answer was that it had been used successfully but the downside is it may help unwanted insects and fungi grow alongside your pumpkin.
