i want to water my garden and pumkins from 1 central sprikler. to save on money and time. it will have normal garden hose preasure and i was going to put it at about 4' high. my garden will be about 100'x100' so it will have to do 50'. i want the best for this application, any suggestions.

Go to any garden supply catalog. Dripworks of Calif. is a long way from you but the descriptions include spray pattern facts. They are on line. In order to know the exact pattern you need to know reasonably close what your water pressure is or will be. Wind patterns will cause shifting or pushing of the basic pattern.

I believe you will be able to find a fifty foot radius at thirty five to forty psi water. That is only a guess at what you actually have. Your water company can estimate your psi better than someone like me at long distance withour hands on. I'm in Pennsylvania. These folks and their catalog satisfy my needs.

I've used these for 2 years and if you want to water with just 1 sprinkler per patch, this is the baby. I can put down 74 Gal/hour at a 30 foot diameter. Works as a quick cooldown also as the spray is fairly fine. It also helps to attach the sprinkler to a 5' riser pvc pipe then tie-wrap it to a fence post, you can move it easily if you want and the added height gives you a bit more coverage.
