has anyone ever tried using worm castings to grow their pumpkins ? I have access to alot of it fairly cheap. Also I have seen vegtables grown in this and they are really something. Greg

I have them in my soil. Not a large amount, just from my worms. It works well for other plants. Tom

Greg, Get as much of it as you possibly can there is NOTHING better for sour soil.

Greg, thats YOUR soil, not sour soil, although the latter may be true as well.

There is a farmer here who plants vegies in strait worm castings, he has incrediable results and no burning. He has about 20 acres of his farm into worm gardens. He even packages it and sells it. I am growing to try this with some of my pumpkins next spring. I do have access to all i want of worm castings for about 20.00 a truck load. Thanks for the feed back, Greg
