OK, long story on deciding to grow or not grow and not paying attention to the auctions. Decided to grow, would like it to be the 1975, mostly because I have tried to grow a few it descended from (2009, 1409) and had issues, so third time must be the charm. If you have one and will part with it, shoot me an email at tcatnodak@yahoo.com. I am happy to pay the auction price or whatever.

Depends on interpretation maybe...2016 is 2nd year out of the fruit (harvested in 2015).

ron has honored all seed requests as of this date and bubbles have stopped arriving so he does have 2015 seeds listed on his site for sale.
we will always honor seed requests from fellow growers first however, after bubble mailing completions (late march each year) he will start to sell them to the general public on his web site. --- more than fair on rons part. which is his way of honoring the hobby and its growers.

You know Carl, you Whine and Bitch all the time why growers don't share secrets, and or post diary's for every one to learn from. When I was setting up the featured growers chats this winter I had several responses as to why they should when there are people that don't appreciate it anyway, and you just proved that statement so true. So next winter when you whine as to why nobody wants to share growing techniques and secrets like you did this past year, I'll post this right beck to you. Your continued case of verbal diarrhea does nothing for this community that so many try to perfect and grow and just make better. Oh and if you want to take shots at me now, Be my guest because your next posts will probably be "Oh I had too many beers so lighten up" You just hate it when someone is successful don't you Carl

what do you expect ?? hes only a donkey ----has very few followers or friends, has little to do all day but hide behind a computer key board and insult--then wait for any replies to dig his heels into. id guess in his case he is just to envious of others who have enjoyed success. i hope to see him in niagara next year so we can have a face to face.he can explain his ranting boner against the wallaces?

I usually don't respond to negative, jealous people but since you have called into question something that is very dear to us (Seed requests) I'll make an exception here. We have always filled every bubble that has been sent our way,(Yes, please provide those "few" names who were "ignored") it's our way of giving back to the hobby (Something you should try to do more of). We have packaged and sent out over 400 seeds (and counting) from four pumpkins, handed out to EVERY auction who requested a set, plus Seed Promos and the bubbles that continue to show up (10 this week). With that many you will always have a few that did not make it or got confiscated at customs. You should ask the growers here how many have received a full set of seeds from us, or the ones who got a set after they emailed saying they never made it. How about the over 50 bubbles to Europe this past winter? Most came with $5.00, but US postage rates went to nearly $14.00 for a bubble to Europe, it was not the growers fault as no one thought the increase would be that steep. Guess what we did? We paid the difference and mailed the seeds.( I am sure you would have done the same thing). Can we fulfill every "individual" seed request? No as the supply on what some growers want (2009) is all but gone. In 2006 everyone who asked received a 1502, the same for 2009 in 2012 and this past years 2230.5. Does not matter to us what you have grown, everyone got a seed including the many grade schools who write looking for a seed for a school summer project. The bottom line is you have been sore since you got beat by almost 200 pounds in 2012, blamed me for some t shirt that did not have your name on it and a GPC coat that did not fit. You should channel all that negativity and jealously you have an "champion" a new cause that could benefit people, then you would really have something.

As a rule I never get involve with post like these. As far as Donkin goes, he must be a person who loves to cause problems or loves a lot of drama. In 2002 when I first got interested in growing Atlantic Giants, Dick Wallace took the time to answer every e-mail I sent him. I asked tons of questions. Even chatted on Aol about everything and anything. To my surprise one day as I went to the mailbox, I had a package from Dick. I was totally surprise when I opened it and inside was three different colored T-Shirts with different cartoons on them from Mr. Wallace. Still to this day, I have all three T-Shirts. Every time I have sent some of my seeds and asked for a certain seed from the Wallace's, they ALWAYS sent seeds to me. I truly believe Mr. Donkin in what my father taught me long ago still stands today. "Treat people the way you want people to treat you". Mr. Donkin, If you don't truly see what great people the Wallaces are, maybe you need to get involved in a different hobby that includes unfriendly and rude people.

amen ron, amen,
ill say it real clear---donkey is a misfit, has mental problems, not in control while under the influence ( of what ? who knows?) and----should be ignored by the giant pumpkin community.
thats the last time i say anything on this subject. i cant continue to do battle with a man who has many demons in his closet.
i feel sorry for him and should know better that he has no control of his actions.

Here's an idea… Maybe instead of asking for stuff, you broke asses should hit the buy button on the website and then you would have nothing to bitch about because you actually paid for something.

I'll say this... I'm and 2nd year grower.. Ron and Pap sent me a full set of 2015 seeds... I've asked Ron prolly 50 questions by email and he had always responded quickly and helpfully... I think the Wallace are good people... and just because he's selling seeds which a % is going to the GPC... I'd be willing to bet that what he gets from it goes right back into growing... which goes right back into growing big ones and the cycle of giving seeds out the following year... keep up the good work Ron and Pap...
