I am looking for seed donations that I can give to a small Zoo where I did volunteer work back in the early 90s. They make a safe place for kids to trick or treat and some of the animals can be touched and are taught about at candy stations throughout the zoo .They display over 1 thousand pumpkins during the event and I gave them my 880 last year .Several thousand people go to Boo at The Zoo and some asked about seeds last year. The Zoo was talking about selling them for $1 each If you have bulk seeds that could grow a 400 to 500 pounder let me know. baitman55@gmail.com

I am giving my seeds to another event near my home called the Apple And Pork Festival It is estimated that 100,000 people attend the 3 day event. coming to a town of less than 8000 people , its a mad house and I avoid the town the entire weekend

If I can make it to some of the events the zoo has I will post photos to my Diary, and the zoo would probable post to their FB page. Most things are still in the planning stage of course. One of the emails I have received...
One idea is to have kids plant the seed in a pot for them to take home and transfer outside after the last frost. They would make a donation for the pot, giant pumpkin seed, and soil. Would it be possible to start with 100 seeds to see how that activity would be received? We may also try to sell some of the seeds at the Decatur Park District Plant sale. That definitely have a better clientele of gardeners. We could try to sell the seeds at their sale events in May. The Park Districts Horticulture department does most of the plantings around the zoo so we would benefit for those sales.
I have received around 400 seeds which will probable be enough for now, thanks to everyone that took the time to send them
