The hottest pepper in the world is not the Ghost pepper. That was a very long time ago. Just like the AGs, peppers are being bred for their heat...my dad ate the hottest! It is the Carolina Reaper and it is more than twice as hot as the Ghost Pepper by about 2 million SHU

Sorry, it is about 2 million SHU...not that much hotter. The Ghost Pepper is about 1 million SHU.

well honestly i eat a carolina reaper pepper last fall,, believe me,, it wasn't pretty,, and there was a gallon of ice cream, and milk involved,, hot hot hot,,

Lol...no he is not. But that was the end of a series of challenges he was doing. He started when a friend sent him the Chocolate Trinidad Scorpion and challenged him to chew for 30 seconds, swallow, than eat or drink nothing for 5 minutes afterwards. He did a great job and people began sending him hotter ones hoping that they could make him fail. He made it on the last but he said that was enough.
