So, back in 2012 we bought a beautiful pumpkin in Half Moon Bay, CA, & for the 1st time, I kept the seeds. This Spring, two years later, I have grown 4 plants from that batch of seeds (& given away several starts to friends) with wonderful results (nearly 100% germination on heating mat) . Our pumpkins look very much like the parent pumpkin from 2 years ago! My family is amazed, & we marvel at these beauties almost daily (we adults more so than the kids, ha ha!) . Unfortunately, powdery mildew has hit 2 of the plants, so they are suffering some...not sure if they will limp to Halloween.
Now, we are hooked! I'd love to surprise my kids & family with a "secret" pumpkin next year that will just blow them away, so I'm looking for seeds, just maybe 5 or 6, that would be very orange & huge (of course), for an incredible Halloween masterpiece next year. Anyone out there have such seeds & be willing to share/trade? Of course I will promptly reimburse your postage & give updates of the growth.
