Giant watermelons went in Tonight. From west to east in the patch, here is what went in. Two 198 Ciesielski jumbo black diamonds then a 211.5 Ciesielski jumbo black diamond and a 205 Holloway jumbo black diamond and a 192.5 Blair Carolina Cross. I will plant two more Carolina Cross within the next Couple of days and it will be a total of Seven plants. Our Weather still looks suspect for the next week or so but I will keep an eye on things and throw a sheet over the plants if they need it. When I transplant my plants, typically they look worse for a bit before they take hold and look better. Not like most of the guys on this site whose plants take right off!! Either way the important part is that we are establishing a root system and when the weather is good the plants will grow!
