2587 DeBacco '25 DMG (F 2154 Sperry '23 x M: 2670 Thompson '24) +18% Heavy! Beneficial Nodules at the Blossum End
While the "Fish Egg" / "Edema" nodules was the reason for the damaged nature to the pumpkin, however looking internally on the blossom end side of the pumpkin there is an area of hardened nodules that I have seen before and seem to be common. What they actually are or what these are composed of, has a few theories by growers. Typically, these are a welcomed sight and seem to help offer additional structural integrity to the pumpkin.
