The Critical Initial Lift-Off
Thanks to...
Alex N. for constructing the metal lifting ring and the metal tripod tested to an actual 4,000+lb and stress tested to provide a theoretical maximum lift capacity around 6,000+ pounds. Hard to complain about overbuilding when it comes to lifting a pumpkin you spent all year on.
My Dad, Nick and Kenzie for helping with the lifting process. My dad helped with providing a quality coat of the traditional John Deere green paint to the tripod. New straps were purchased to be able to handle the sheer size of the pumpkin. Nick was able to see the more common wooden tripod lifting method, but this metal design provides, stronger material and a wider base to help accommodate the wide trailer easier. Personally, the expression on Kenzie's face is a great summary of the image.
