I started in with a 'one fruit per plant' policy this year and I really like it. They just take off seemingly faster with the plants all to themselves, I guess. I also feel that any malnutrition is felt by the sole fruit less than if there were many others. I used to do three pollinations standard and cull down to one eventually, but I never knew which one was gonna be the 'keeper'. This reduces that stress. This is a SecOnd 'only child'; The first was quickly big & I was like 'WOW', butt I think it wasn't getting enough 'goose juice' to be sustained, and it was right about when I had slacked off...or not yet increased... on The Ferts, lol. My plants live paycheck-to-paycheck and that was not gonna fly. All good now, though. 'Lessons/Lesson's learned', lol---eric g PS---I just today put more stuff under the snout. It was not that easy, lol. PS2---This is offa my 236 seed (1007 Brown X 2145 McMullen).
