Top: Solarizing to plant carrots. I was going to quit solarizing but the carrots would prefer a sterile soil surface. I'll get better germination and healthier sprouts. They need a good start when starting them this late in the year otherwise they won't reach a good size before winter.
Bottom: Did I finally get the extra blip on the end to pollinate? Yet again I'm so blind I didn't even see it! I am trying to get pollen into any sneaky end bits, sort of assuming they might be there even though I am not seeing them.
...And I have made another small change to my pollination technique, which I can share at some point if anyone is interested.
